Escape to Pacific is a six-year ocean documentary and research expedition created to bring the beauty, fragility and changing reality of the marine world closer to audiences around the globe.
From a sailing catamaran serving as a mobile film, research and diving base, our permanent team of filmmakers and marine biologists will travel through remote ocean regions, coral reefs and island communities. Over six years, we plan to produce an 18-part documentary series while carrying out structured environmental observation and long-term visual monitoring.
The expedition will document marine biodiversity, coral health, climate impacts, pollution and underwater noise, while transforming what we encounter into films, photography, scientific collaboration and educational material for the public.

Donate through IDA
Escape to Pacific is fiscally sponsored by the International Documentary Association (IDA), a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions made through IDA are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by U.S. law and are administered by IDA for the project.
This is the main donation route for supporters in the United States and for anyone who prefers to contribute through an established nonprofit fiscal sponsor.
Support Directly through PayPal
Supporters who prefer a simple direct contribution can support Escape to Pacific securely through PayPal, Apple Pay, or debit and credit card, where available. Payments are processed through the PayPal Business account of Escape to Nature B.V., the Netherlands-based production company developing and producing the expedition.
Payments made through this option go directly to Escape to Nature B.V. and are separate from donations administered by IDA. They are not U.S. tax-deductible charitable contributions through IDA.
Bank Transfer
Supporters who prefer a bank transfer can make a direct contribution to the bunq Business account of Escape to Nature B.V. This option is particularly suitable for larger contributions, SEPA payments and international transfers.
Bank transfers are made directly to Escape to Nature B.V. and are separate from tax-deductible donations administered by IDA. Bank details are available on request so that we can provide the appropriate payment reference and transfer instructions.

Escape to Pacific is open to long-term cooperation with foundations, philanthropic supporters, companies, technology partners and investors whose work and values are connected with the ocean, science, film, education or responsible innovation.
Partnerships can be developed around expedition support, scientific and environmental monitoring, equipment and technology, logistics, public engagement, media collaboration, or the production and distribution of documentary content.
