The eponymous project was born at the end of 2008 when Libor Spacek met Petra Doležalová. As professional Czech photographers, documentarians, travelers, divers, and nature conservationists, they started working as a team that won over a hundred awards and nominations at international film festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad during their joint work. “We put everything we can into our films, photos, and articles, with which we want to bring you closer to the hidden depth of nature. We emphasize the quality of photographic and film footage, focusing on the beauty and fragility of life on our blue planet. We want to contribute with our work to protect marine life and keep the seas and oceans clean.“
In February 2020, Libor established “Escape to Nature B.V.” in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, as a film production for audiovisual programs for television channels and advertising activities. This step aims to be closer to foreign partners, to secure better conditions in the global film production market, and closer cooperation with multinational companies. Since the company’s foundation in Holland, Libor has been actively preparing another long-term documentary project focused on protecting the underwater world, sea corals, and their sustainability for future generations. Based on the many years of experience he gathered during previous projects and diving trips worldwide, he could not help but notice the impact of civilization and climate change on the quality of water and life in the seas and oceans.
A completely new international Escape to Nature team is being formed, consisting of experts from filmmakers, marine biologists, and yachters, who will spend several years working together to create a new project, the documentary series Escape to Pacific.
In September 2021, Escape to Nature B.V. agreed to a long-term partnership with the largest catamaran manufacturer in the world – Lagoon Catamarans (France) – for the upcoming project. The team will operate on the catamaran for five or six years in the Pacific, a part called Melanesia.
The previews from their expeditions are published on this website and in social and travel magazines, exhibitions, lectures, and workshops. From the main shooted footage, the authors create documentaries for TV broadcasting in the Czech Republic and abroad, short videos for web presentations and advertisements, adjusted large-format photographs, calendars, books, etc.
Films are regularly broadcast on the CT2 TV channel under the Escape to Nature brand. Czech Television was the co-producer of the last six episodes completed before 2018.
If you like documentaries and the work of Escape to Nature production, become a sponsor, partner, or donor, or personally participate in their next Escape to Nature project, such as Escape to Pacific, which will take place in exotic Pacific Ocean destinations.
Trade Mark “Escape to Nature” – THE EUROPEAN UNION INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OFFICE (EUIPO) confirmed the entry “Escape to Nature” in the Register of European Union trade marks under the registration number: 018216797 on 28 August 2020.
