Petra Doležalová (*1976)
Petra studied economics in the Czech Republic and Media Relations in California. She combined her interests as photographer and traveler with her job as a publicist. For fifteen years she has been dedicated to production of company magazines and she has been providing Public Relations for Volvo.
Petra presented her first artistic work to the public in multimedia exhibition „Touches of the North“ in Karolinum gallery in Prague. She also published a book of the same name, where she spiced up the imagery with poetry and stories from her travels. Part of her creative work is dedicated to the oldest European nation living beyond the Arctic Circle in the Finmark territory. Petra managed to get an insight into their culture and present their values, developed in extreme solitude, to the audience in exhibitions and her readers. Petra visited the remote areas beyond the Artcic Circle over ten times during four years and with the help of her guide and friends managed to describe the depth and understanding of the hard, but yet somehow romantic life beyond the Arctic Circle.
